Hey guys! Welcome back for another edition of Slow Hustle Travelisodes. Melissa and I are enjoying an evening in the Slow Hustle RV (on Valentine’s Day actually) and ready to share with you some important things we’ve learned and are feeling as we settle into our temporary home in Dana Point, California.
Last Travelisode, we were still in the travel phase of our trip. We’ve made it to Southern California now and have settled in the same complex as last year. Along with getting settled, is the reminder that we long for a ‘hub’ or a place to come back to when the traveling is all said and done. We love the travel life, it’s exciting and adventurous. We have met unbelievable people and made really amazing memories together as a family. But we have to admit, traveling and placing temporary roots in this home and complex that isn’t technically ours, it can be really exhausting.
We share the feelings and the adjustments that we’ve had to make to find ‘home’ and feel comfortable no matter where we are.
This feeling of indecisiveness– do we find a more permanent home or not– it’s challenging. Whether you are contemplating living arrangements or simply have a big decision to make, we talk that through and share our thought process behind “figuring it out” with a family.
Until next time, I’d love to answer any questions you might have and share any aspect of the journey that you might be curious about. Send me any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
